Keep hope alive for children living with cancer through Vitality MoveToGive
Vitality MoveToGive has partnered with CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa to bring hope, joy, care and dignity to children and teens living with cancer.
A cancer diagnosis is an overwhelming emotional experience for a child and their family. The CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation is the only organisation in South Africa that gives comprehensive countrywide support to children with cancer and other life-threatening blood disorders and their families.
CHOC enables treatment access and adherence for 4500+ children and teens with cancer and their families through accommodation, nutrition, transport, educational play through its interactive learning programme, psychosocial and emotional support and so much more.
CHOC keeps more than hope alive for thousands of children and their families every year. But they can't do it alone ...
From 16 August to 20 September 2022, you can donate your Discovery Miles to the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app.
Your Discovery Miles can help support children and teens living with cancer
Get active, drive well or spend responsibly through Vitality Active Rewards to earn Discovery Miles.
You can then donate your Discovery Miles to the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app:
- For 300 Discovery Miles, you can donate a toy to a child living with cancer.
- For 650 Discovery Miles, you can donate a Carebag with a toy and essential items to a child or teenager living with cancer.
- For 1 000 Discovery Miles, you can donate a Plant of Hope to a child newly diagnosed with cancer or a life-threatening blood disorder. The Plant of Hope helps relieve stress and anxiety for the child while nurturing the plant, and will be planted in the CHOC garden as a sign of hope for other children when the treatment is complete.
- For 2 500 Discovery Miles, you can donate a dignity pack with a set of pyjamas and nappies or sanitary products for a child or teenager living with cancer.
How you can donate to CHOC
- Activate Vitality Active Rewards in the latest version of the Discovery app.
- Achieve your exercise, drive or money goals to earn a play on the gameboard.
- Pick a tile on the gameboard to reveal Discovery Miles.
- Spend your Discovery Miles on Vitality MoveToGive charity donations.
