This Breast Cancer Awareness month, your healthy steps, good driving behaviour or responsible spending can help improve awareness, education and treatment for people living with breast cancer.
Meet the Breast Health Foundation
The Breast Health Foundation started in April 2002 to educate people on breast cancer and breast health, increase awareness and empower all women with education and treatment. All the volunteers are breast cancer survivors who spend their time educating, empowering and inspiring people living with breast cancer.

How can you help? Simply donate your Discovery Miles to the Breast Health Foundation through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app from 28 October to 09 December 2022.
Your Discovery Miles can help support breast cancer patients
Get active, drive well or spend responsibly through Vitality Active Rewards to earn Discovery Miles.
You can then donate your Discovery Miles to the Breast Health Foundation through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app:
- For 130 Discovery Miles, you can empower a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient with an educational booklet to help them navigate their treatment journey.
- For500 Discovery Miles, you can help translate an educational booklet to help a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient navigate their breast cancer journey.
- For 1,000 Discovery Miles, you can sponsor an in-person psychosocial support session for a person living with breast cancer or a family member going through the journey with them.
- For 2,000 Discovery Miles, you can contribute towards refurbishing the Tintswalo Hospital in Mpumalanga to provide a safe and comforting space for women to access breast and cervical cancer screening.
The breast and cervical cancer screening unit at Tintswalo Hospital is a first of its kind in the area... and your Discovery Miles can help make it a top-class facility.
The funds raised will be matched by the Discovery Fund, up to a maximum of R500,000.00.
