Help a learner in need with Vitality MoveToGive
The school year is well underway and we wish all of our Vitality parents and kids a successful 2017. Sadly, many learners in South Africa are short of the basic resources needed to thrive at school which impacts negatively on their ability to get the best education possible.
Here’s how you can help
Between Wednesday, 22 February 2017 and midnight on Tuesday, 7 March 2017 you will get the opportunity to get active to give back. There will be an additional option for your weekly reward choice: Vitality MoveToGive, where you will be able to donate a stationery pack to a learner from an under-resourced school.
Through the Gift of the Givers Foundation, we will donate a pack with a pencil and pen set, ruler, eraser, glue stick and a mathematics kit (contents of the pack may vary). The stationery packs will go to schools in the following areas:
- Limpopo
- North West
- Eastern Cape

Joining Vitality Active Rewards is simple and rewarding:
Step 1: Download the latest version of the Discovery app
Update to the latest version of the Discovery app on your iOS or Android device. Activate the Vitality Active Rewards benefit through the Discovery app and add up to four friends to your team.
Step 2: Get active
Vitality will set a weekly, personalised fitness goal for you, based on your current health status and activity levels. To achieve your weekly goal, you need to earn a certain number of Vitality points through any of Vitality’s fitness partners or by using a wearable fitness device linked to your Vitality profile. As you continue to achieve your goals, your goal will increase with you. Goal cycles run from midnight on a Friday until midnight the next Friday. Only events completed in that period count towards the weekly goal and your reward will be available for selection the following Wednesday.
Step 3: Get rewarded
Get active and achieve your goals and you can choose to donate a stationery pack through MoveToGive between 22 February 2017 and 8 March 2017. You’ll earn Vitality Active Rewards on your smart phone the following Wednesday and be able to choose which reward you’d like to use – a free drink or a donation to our MoveToGive campaign.
